Córdoba CF is exploring the return of Álex Sala. The club is studying the options to bring back the Barcelona-born midfielder, who is looking to leave Lecce after a season with limited playing time. The operation, however, presents significant economic and sporting difficulties. Álex Sala is back on the radar of Córdoba CF. The 25-year-old midfielder has already shown qualities to be important in the Liga Hypermotion. It is in this scenario, and according to El Día de Córdoba, that Córdoba CF is trying to move to explore its options to count on Sala next season. That interest is not casual. Sala was one of the key pieces in the return of Córdoba to professional football and later in the consolidation of the team in Segunda División. His ability to direct the game, reach the opponent's area, and assume responsibilities in the construction made the Catalan one of the most valued players in the squad of Iván Ania before leaving for Italy. The main problem for Córdoba CF is the conditions surrounding Sala at the moment. The first of them is the high salary that Álex Sala earned with his signing for the Italian team. Last summer, Sala signed with Lecce for three seasons plus two optional, a tie that could extend until 2030 and that significantly increased his economic conditions compared to those he had in Córdoba. Another aspect to be taken into account is the good record that Sala maintains in the Liga Hypermotion. In fact, informed sources of the situation assure this newspaper that not only Córdoba is pending the future of the midfielder. Several teams in the silver category have the midfielder on their agenda, a player who grew exponentially with CCF in Segunda and still has a lot of room to grow despite the practically blank course he has lived in Italy. The competition, therefore, will be high if the moment arrives when Álex Sala puts himself on the market. In favor of Córdoba, however, there are several factors that can also bring a little closer an operation that initially seems complicated. The first of them is the quality leap that Sala made in El Arcángel and, especially, under the guidance of a coach like Iván Ania. After a season with very few minutes, the Barcelona-born midfielder knows he needs to regain prominence and few teams could offer him more guarantees than CCF in that sense. To this must be added the fluid relationship that Córdoba CF maintains with the agent of Álex Sala, a Joaquín Vigueras who in the last markets has made various operations with the club of El Arcángel and who this summer will again have prominence both in the chapter of entries and exits.
